production aboard a renovated paddle wheel boat,
camp in our R/V park, take a walk or run along the
Discovery Recreational Trail, have a picnic and
visit our historical museum. All of this and you

Located just 30 minutes from I-80 and 20 minutes
from I-88, Clinton sits on the eastern most
section of Iowa along the banks of the majestic

(Garbage) Program Information
Long Term Control Plan and Sewer Rates: The
City of Clinton is near completion of a consent
order with the United States Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) that will put into place a
Long Term Control Plan of construction that will end
Combined Sewer Overflows (CSO's) into the
Mississippi RIver. Much of the work involves
replacing pump stations and sewers that are over 50
years old. This is a once in a century project. In
the short term there are increases to the sewer
rates and the city will be evaluating other methods
of paying for the construction. The presentation was
presented to the Council Committee of the Whole on
April 24, 2012.
