In the most general terms, as a department of the city government of the City of Clinton, funded by tax dollars and user fees, the Recreation Department is charged with the task of enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of the City of Clinton.  Today this can be seen and experienced  in the over 160 recreation programs designed for all ages from preschoolers through youth adults to adults and senior citizens.
