CHAPTER NO. 2313

 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2305 OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLINTON, IOWA RELATING TO PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF SEMI-TRACTORS, SEMI-TRAILERS, BOATS, RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, CAMPERS, MOTOR HOMES, AND UTILITY TRAILERS ON THE STREETS IN THE CITY OF CLINTON

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLINTON, IOWA: 

Section 4.  Chapter 2305 is amended to read as follows:  PARKING OF LARGE VEHICLES PROHIBITED.  No person shall park a vehicle exceeding eight feet in height, eight feet in width or 20 feet in length on any street in the City of Clinton, Iowa, except this section does not apply to vehicles being used for the purpose of delivering services or delivering or collecting goods, wares, merchandise or materials when such vehicles are parking for a period of time not longer than it necessary for the expeditious delivery or collection thereof.   Construction trailers parked on public streets shall have an orange cone pylon placed in front of the trailer and one behind the trailer.  Construction trailer parking is not exempt from calendar parking regulations or 24 hour parking regulations.

 Section 5.  Severability Clause.  If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

 Section 6.  Repealer.  Any ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 7.  Effective Date.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
