CHAPTER NO. 2282

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLINTON, IOWA 1999 BY CHANGING THE SPEED LIMIT ON 2^ND AVENUE SOUTH BETWEEN THE MILL CREEK PARKWAY AND THE WEST CITY LIMITS

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLINTON, IOWA:

 Section 1.       Amended Subsection.  A.  The Code of Ordinances of the City of Clinton, Iowa, 1999 is amended by changing Chapter 63.05 (5) by changing subsection B to read as follows: 

 B.     On Second Avenue South from Fourteenth Street to .8 mile west of Mill Creek Parkway. 

B.  The Code of Ordinances of the City of Clinton, Iowa, 1999 is amended by changing  Chapter 63.05 (7) by adding subsection J to read as follows:

J.        On Second Avenue South from .8 mile west of Mill Creek Parkway.

C.  The Code of Ordinances of the City of Clinton, Iowa, 1999 is amended by changing Chapter 63.05 (8) by striking subsection A.

Section 2.       Repealer.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Section 3.       Severability Clause.  If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

Section 4.       Effective Date.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
