CHAPTER NO. 2281 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 165 OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLINTON, IOWA BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 200 BLOCK OF MAIN AVENUE BEHIND 238 MAIN AVENUE AND OTHER PROPERTIES FROM R-4 (APARTMENT RESIDENTIAL) TO C-2 (GENERAL COMMERCIAL). BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLINTON, IOWA: Section 1. Amendment. Chapter 165 of the Ordinances of the City of Clinton, Iowa, classifying real estate described as follows: Lots 4 and 5 in block 1, Range 8; and Lots 4, 12 and 13 in block 1, Range 7 (including the vacated alley abutting lots 4 and 13 in block 1, Range 7) all in Buell’s Second Addition to Lyons, now by annexation a part of the City of Clinton, Iowa. in the R-4 (Apartment Residential) zoning district is hereby amended so that said real estate is classified in the C-2 (General Commercial) zoning district. Section 2. Repealer. Any ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3. Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. Section 4. Effective Date.
