CHAPTER NO. 2269

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 165 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLINTON BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF CLINTON, CLINTON COUNTY, IOWA.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLINTON, IOWA:

SECTION 1.  Amendments. Section 165.02 of Chapter 165 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Clinton, Iowa classifying various properties described as follows:

 A part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 36, Twp. 82 North, Range 6 East of the 5th P.M., within the City of Clinton, Clinton County, Iowa, described as follows: Beginning at the center of Section 36, thence Northerly along the East line of the Northwest Quarter of Section 36 to the Southerly Right-of-Way line of Mill Creek Parkway, thence Southwesterly along the Southerly Right-of-Way line of Mill Creek Parkway to the South line of the Northwest Quarter of Section 36, thence easterly along the South line of the Northwest Quarter of Section 36 to the Point of Beginning, containing 9.1 Acres more or less.

            Location:        Southeast of the Mill Creek Parkway and north of West View Heights Subdivision.

            In the R-1A (One-Family Residential) zoning district is hereby amended so that said real estate is classified in the C-2M Commercial-Light Industrial zoning district.

 Section 2.       Repealer.  Any ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

 Section 3.       Severability Clause.  If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

 Section 4.       Effective Date.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
