CHAPTER NO. 2262

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PROHIBITED PASSING ZONE ON ANAMOSA ROAD A DISTANCE OF 500 FEET IN EACH DIRECTION FROM THE MAIN ENTRANCE TO THE EQUISTAR PLANT

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLINTON, IOWA:

Section 1.       Passing Prohibited.  A prohibited passing zone is hereby established on Anamosa Road a distance of 500 feet in each direction from the main entrance to the Equistar plant.

Section 2.       Pavement Markings.  The Street Superintendent is directed to paint a double yellow line and erect the necessary signs to designate said prohibited passing zone.

Section 3.       Repealer.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Section 4.       Severability Clause.  If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

Section 5.       Effective Date.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
