CHAPTER NO.  2249

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLINTON, IOWA 1999 BY ESTABLISHING A SPEED LIMIT OF 45 MILES PER HOUR ON THE MILL CREEK PARKWAY FROM U.S. HIGHWAY 30 TO MAIN AVENUE (HIGHWAY 136)

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLINTON, IOWA:

 Section 1.       Amended Subsection.  The Code of Ordinances of the City of Clinton, Iowa 1999 is amended by adding to Chapter 63.05(7) a new subsection J. to read as follows:

 J.                    On the Mill Creek Parkway from U.S. Highway 30 to Highway 136 (Main Avenue)

 Note:  Chapter 63.05(7) establishes a 45 miles per hour speed limit on various streets.

 Section 2.       Repealer.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Section 3.       Severability Clause.  If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.

 Section 4.       Effective Date.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
