Clinton Iowa is located approximately 120 miles directly west of the Chicago metro area. The City of Clinton, IA was founded in 1855. The town's beautiful landscapes, rich history, and cultural opportunities continue to attract new residents and businesses alike. These assets have earned Clinton, funding from the Governor's Vision Iowa program, and most recently, a designation as one of Iowa's "Great Places."   • Governor Culver's Announcement on Feb 4th awarding the City a $2.5 million grant for I-Jobs.

 

  • SNOW EMERGENCY DECLARED - The City of Clinton has declared a Snow Emergency to be in effect from 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 08, 2010 until 6:00 p.m . Wednesday, February 10, 2010.

    No parking is permitted on marked snow routes during the Snow Emergency. Calendar parking will continue on streets that are not marked snow routes. Vehicles left on snow routes during this snow emergency will be subject to being ticketed and towed by the Police Department.
